Summary

ExploreMyData is a browser-based data exploration tool. All data processing happens entirely in your browser using WebAssembly (DuckDB WASM). We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any files you open in the application. The site is ad-supported and uses Google AdSense, which may use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads.

Data Processing

When you open a file in ExploreMyData, it is read and processed entirely within your browser tab using DuckDB WASM. The file never leaves your device. No data is sent to any server, API, or third party.

Local Storage

ExploreMyData uses your browser's IndexedDB to persist workspace state (open tabs, view configurations, dark mode preference) between sessions. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.

Cookies & Advertising

ExploreMyData uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your browsing activity.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is a privacy-first, cookie-free analytics service. It collects aggregate page view data (page URL, referrer, browser, country) without using cookies or tracking individual users. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Third-Party Services

In addition to Google AdSense and Cloudflare Web Analytics described above, DuckDB WASM files are loaded from jsDelivr CDN on initial page load. jsDelivr may log standard access data (IP address, user agent) per their own privacy policy.

AI Features

If you use the AI-powered transformation feature, your natural language description and table schema (column names and types, not your data) are sent directly from your browser to the third-party API provider you select in Settings. Your actual data rows are never sent. You provide your own API key, which is stored locally in your browser and transmitted only to the provider you chose.

Supported providers and endpoints:

  • Anthropic Claude — api.anthropic.com
  • OpenAI — api.openai.com
  • Google Gemini — generativelanguage.googleapis.com
  • Kimi (Moonshot) — api.moonshot.cn

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing how your prompts are stored and used. If you do not use the AI feature, no requests are sent to these endpoints.
