Export your patron list from Patreon and drop it here. The important distinction this page enforces is that Pledge Amount is a monthly commitment rather than money you received. Declined charges are surfaced as the churn signal they are, Lifetime Amount is used for the actual-money panels, and Former and Declined patrons are kept out of the committed income total.

A member list is not a revenue report
The Patreon export is a snapshot of who your patrons are right now, not a record of transactions. Pledge Amount says what a patron has committed to pay each month. Whether that money arrived depends on Last Charge Status, and a card that declined last month is still sitting in the file with its pledge intact. Total the Pledge Amount column across every row and you get a number that includes people who left months ago and people whose payment is failing, which is why that number is always cheerfully higher than your actual income.
The column that does describe money that arrived is Lifetime Amount, and it is cumulative rather than periodic. Read together, the two answer different and both useful questions: committed monthly income from active patrons in good standing, and total value received per patron since they joined. This page keeps them apart and never mixes a commitment into a revenue chart.
How to export from Patreon
- Open your creator page Sign in at patreon.com and switch to the creator view, then choose Audience or Relationship Manager from the navigation.
- Pick the member view you want Patreon offers all members, active patrons, former patrons and declined separately. Export all members if you want churn to be visible at all.
- Click Export as CSV The export button sits above the member table. It produces one row per patron with their current state, not a history of charges.
- Check the file for former patrons If Patron Status only contains Active patron, you exported a filtered view and your churn panels will be empty. Go back and export everyone.
- Drop it here Tier and Patron Status become the first two filter chips, and committed monthly income is computed over active patrons in good standing.
For an actual record of payments received month by month, the earnings or payout reports are the right download. This member export is a state snapshot and cannot reconstruct history.

What the dashboard shows
Every panel below is built from a column that is actually in the export, named the way Patreon names it.
- Committed monthly income. Pledge Amount summed over Active patrons with a Paid last charge, which is the honest version of the headline number.
- Tier distribution. Patron count and committed income per tier, which frequently disagree: the cheap tier has the people, the expensive tier has the money.
- Declined charges. Patrons whose last charge failed, listed and totaled. These are recoverable revenue and a dunning email away from being fixed.
- Churn by cohort. Pledge Start Date bucketed by month against current status, which shows whether recent cohorts are sticking better than old ones.
- Lifetime value. Lifetime Amount distribution and its total per tier, the only cumulative money figure in the file.
- Geography. Country as a map, which for a creator business mostly informs when to publish and in what currency to price.

- Pledge Amount is a promise. It is what a patron committed to pay monthly. It is not what they paid. Former patrons keep their last pledge value in the file.
- Patron Status has three meanings. Active patron, Former patron and Declined patron. Only the first, with a successful last charge, belongs in committed income.
- Declined is not the same as Former. A declined patron still wants to be there and their card failed. That is a recoverable problem, and treating them as churned writes off money you could get back.
- Lifetime Amount is cumulative and never resets. It grows over a patron's whole history, so it cannot be summed into a monthly or quarterly figure.
- There is no charge history. One row per patron, current state only. You cannot reconstruct last quarter from this file, only what is true today.
- Currency may not be uniform. Patreon supports pledges in several currencies, so summing Pledge Amount across a mixed list adds units that are not the same size.
Chase the declined charges first, read tier distribution by income rather than by headcount, and remember that every number in this file is a snapshot of today. It is a good file, as long as you do not ask it about the past.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my total pledge amount higher than what I get paid?
Three reasons, all visible in the file. Former patrons keep their pledge value in the export even though they left. Declined patrons have a pledge and a failed payment. And Patreon takes a platform fee plus payment processing before you see anything, none of which appears in this file. Filter to active patrons with a paid last charge for the closest honest figure, then subtract fees separately.
What should I do about declined patrons?
Treat them as recoverable rather than lost. A declined charge is usually an expired card, not a decision, and Patreon retries on a schedule. The panel here lists them with their pledge value so you can see how much income is sitting in that state. For a list of any size it is routinely the largest single piece of recoverable revenue in the file.
Can I see churn over time from this export?
Partially. You can bucket by Pledge Start Date and look at what proportion of each cohort is still active today, which shows whether recent months are retaining better. What you cannot do is see when people left, because the export has no cancellation date. For a real churn series you need the earnings reports month by month, or a snapshot of this file saved regularly.
Which tier is actually carrying the business?
Look at committed income per tier rather than patron count. The pattern is almost always that the cheapest tier holds most of the people and a mid or high tier holds most of the money. Knowing the split changes what you make: rewards for the tier with the headcount build community, rewards for the tier with the income keep the lights on.
Does the export include everyone or just active patrons?
Whatever the view you exported from was filtered to. If you exported from the active patrons view, former and declined patrons are missing entirely and every churn panel will be empty and quietly misleading. Export from the all members view. This page tells you which statuses it found so a filtered export is obvious rather than silent.
Is the patron email list safe on this page?
It never leaves your browser. A Patreon member export is a list of names, email addresses and how much each person pays you, which is both personal data and commercially sensitive. It is parsed in the tab, held in memory, and gone when you close it. There is no account here and no server that could receive the file.
